Job description

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) in English to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for literature and language, with the ability to engage students and foster critical thinking skills. The TGT English will be responsible for teaching English to middle school students, helping them develop strong writing, speaking, and reading skills, while nurturing a love for the subject.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lesson Planning & Delivery:
• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate English lessons that cater to the needs of students in middle and senior school grades.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods (lectures, discussions, multimedia, projects) to effectively communicate the content and make learning interactive.
• Teach grammar, composition, literature, and language skills, focusing on both written and oral proficiency.
• Curriculum Implementation:
• Implement the school's curriculum and ensure that lesson plans align with academic goals and standards.
• Develop and design teaching materials, assignments, and assessments to meet the curriculum requirements.
• Incorporate innovative methods such as group work, debates, discussions, and writing assignments to engage students.
• Assessment & Feedback:
• Conduct regular formative and summative assessments (exams, quizzes, essays, assignments) to evaluate student progress.
• Provide constructive and timely feedback to students on their work, identifying areas for improvement and acknowledging achievements.
• Maintain accurate records of students' performance and assessments.
• Classroom Management:
• Maintain discipline and create a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Implement strategies to manage student behavior effectively and ensure student participation in class activities.
• Encourage a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful classroom culture.
• Student Support & Engagement:
• Offer additional support to students who need help with reading, writing, or understanding course material.
• Motivate students to engage in extracurricular activities related to English, such as book clubs, writing competitions, and drama productions.
• Encourage students to participate in discussions, debates, presentations, and group activities.
• Parental Communication:
• Maintain open communication with parents about students' academic performance, behavior, and progress.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings to provide updates on student learning and discuss strategies for improvement.
• Keep parents informed about upcoming lessons, assignments, and school events.
• Professional Development:
• Stay updated on the latest developments in English language teaching and literature, incorporating new techniques and resources into lessons.
• Attend school meetings, workshops, and conferences to enhance professional knowledge and teaching skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in English or a related field; B.Ed or equivalent teaching certification is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in English at the middle or senior school level.
• Skills:
• Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for literature and language.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with using educational technology and digital tools in the classroom is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
