Role Description

Phutari is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Fashion Designer & Illustrator for a full-time, on-site position in Jaipur. The role involves creating original design concepts, working with textiles, and collaborating with artisans to integrate traditional embroidery and craftsmanship into modern fashion pieces. Responsibilities also include overseeing fittings and ensuring the highest standards in design execution while contributing to Phutari's mission of supporting and revitalizing local crafts.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Fashion Design and a keen eye for current trends and aesthetics
  • Good Illustrator is a plus point
  • Experience in working with Textiles and the ability to innovate using traditional fabric-handling techniques
  • Proficiency in Handcrafted Textiles and skills in integrating intricate craftwork into modern designs
  • Knowledge and attention to detail in garment Fitting, ensuring comfort and precision
  • Passion for preserving and elevating local crafts and Indian handicrafts
  • Ability to work collaboratively with artisans and teams, while meeting quality and timeline goals
  • Degree in Fashion Design or a related field is preferred
  • Previous experience in the fashion industry is a strong advantage
