Role & responsibilities
- Primary responsibilities will include develop, validate and apply analytical & numerical models rigorously for fiber and cable manufacturing processes, mathematical model optimization, and/or statistical analysis of lab-scale, pilot-scale, or commercial-scale process data
- Understand the problem statement, perform necessary hand calculations and correlate/compare analytical results for development of simulation approaches.
- Responsibilities include interpreting customer inputs to create CFD simulation models required in Fluent to perform CFD analysis, Pre-processing, Setup, post-processing, results and generating customer reports.
- Validate results with real-world data, interpret lab-based analysis, and offering practical design suggestions based on detailed analysis report
- Lead and Provide technical expertise in the areas of virtual demonstration, process systems engineering and optimization. Investigate theoretical and fundamental phenomena as necessary to support fiber and cable process engineering needs and develop new concepts
- The candidate will also collaborate across NPD, process engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate analysis results through right development of simulation methodology
Simulation SOP generation, Keeping proper record of all the documentations/ Reports. Lead multiple projects at the same time. Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred candidate profile
- Excellent knowledge of chemical / thermal engineering principles, process modelling, process control and optimization methodologies including: Fluid mechanics, Thermodynamics, Chemical reactions, heat and mass transport, engineering statistics, modelling and simulation.
- Demonstrating technical leadership, Collaborating with experimentalists or process/equipment designers to develop and validate models with Scientific approach
- Development and utilization of rigorous steady-state and dynamic process models, utilizing modelling software packages such as FLUENT, ANSYS Meshing platform, MATLAB.
