THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Technical Writer at Xactly Corporation working in a hybrid schedule, you will be responsible for customer & partner facing product documentation including product overviews, installation and configuration guides, developer guides, in-app guides, release notes, newsletters, and FAQs. You will be an integral part of the technical enablement function, working closely with product managers, engineers and customer enablement teams to create resources to improve product adoption and the overall experience for our customers. You will be responsible for managing the documentation needs of multiple products and our core platform, and work with various scrum teams to meet deadlines as per the product release dates. We are looking for you to partner with our user experience team to develop documentation guidelines and policies in line with Xactly brand requirements and ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy across articles. As a part of the process, you will be involved in the complete product development cycle and thus gain in-depth knowledge on Xactly's platform and products.

THE TEAM

Xactly's Technical Enablement is a collaborative, tight-knit team consisting of technical writers, partner solution architects, and Xactly University trainers and curriculum developers. We consistently strive to provide the best enablement solutions for our users. Technical writing is an integral part of this team, taking on complex processes and transforming them into intuitive, easy-to-use guides and multi-modal resources for sales compensation admins, sales representatives, implementation consultants, and application developers from around the world.

THE SKILL SET

• 2-5 years of technical writing experience in a software organization
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Meticulous attention to detail and should be able to clearly communicate complex concepts to various audiences from non-technical to engineering
• Managed documentation on multiple products
• Familiar with technical platforms, coding and scripting languages - SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs, Python etc. Note: Programming Language understanding and ability to read code is a big plus
• Experience working with the following tools preferred: Khoros, Git, GitHub, Confluence, Jira, Pendo
• Experience working directly with Engineering teams and Product Managers
• Experience with developing API and function documentation
• Writing samples required
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

• Learn the Xactly platform and product suite

• Begin to work on documentation updates

• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering, and User Experience to deliver your documentation / enablement vision

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU WILL

• Be seen as a well-versed, trusted business-advisor and expert, making a significant positive impact company-wide
