Job Description – E&I Detailer

Reports to: E&I Design Engineer

Job Description:

· The candidate is responsible for the preparation and generation of various Electrical and Instrumentation documents and drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specification.

· Role involves close co-ordination with E&I Engineers and collaboration with other engineering discipline, other departments like project management, purchase, and document controllers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain E&I engineering documents, including cable schedules, data sheets for cable trays/cables/junction.

· Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) for E&I components such as cables, glands, trays, and hook-up materials

· Create detailed 2D drawings, including Instrument hookup-drawings, Junction box layouts, Junction box wiring diagrams, Single line diagrams, MCC/control panel schematics, cable tray layouts, earthing layouts, lighting layouts.

· Preparation of Purchase order Requisitions for E&I items.

· Review and assess vendor quotes and technical documents/drawings.

· Collaborate with the 3D modelling team to develop cable tray and conduit layouts within 3D models.

· Conduct 3D model reviews in Navisworks to ensure the accurate placement of E&I components such as cable trays, instruments, junction boxes, motors, and accessibility of these components for operation and maintenance.

· Perform E&I detailing tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills/Experience:

· Engineer graduate or Diploma in Electrical / Instrumentation or related field.

· to 10 years of experience (minimum 8 years for Diploma candidate) in similar projects/ electrical engineering industry

· Proficiency in AutoCad 2D to develop cable tray layouts and electrical drawings

· Proficiency in Microsoft office such as Excel, Words

· Experience in 3D design software is an advantage.

· Knowledge in Electrical and automation products like control panels, junction boxes, motors, field instruments

· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across various project levels

· Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
