About the Role
We're looking for a motivated full time or part time Medical Receptionist to join our busy front desk team at Emerald Hospital. You'll be the welcoming face of our practice, providing exceptional service to patients attending appointments for a full range of imaging services including X-ray, Ultrasound, and MRI.
Hours:
- Full-time (Monday – Friday, rostered between 8:00am–5:00pm)
- Part-time (Monday – Friday (20 hours per week)
Your Day Could Include:
- Being the friendly first point of contact for patients
- Handling patient bookings, payments, and Medicare/Health Fund claims
- Liaising with referrers, doctors, and patients to ensure timely delivery of medical results
- Participating in team meetings and ongoing training
- Maintaining compliance with health, safety, and HR policies
About You
- Previous experience in medical, dental, allied health, or hospital reception
- Confidence using bookings systems and strong computer skills
- Understanding of (or keen to learn) medical terminology
- Warm, professional communication style and excellent presentation
- A team player with integrity and a passion for patient care
