Responsibilities:

  • Oversee fabric sourcing, procurement, and inventory management.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with mills, suppliers, and vendors.
  • Ensure timely availability of fabrics as per production requirements.
  • Negotiate prices, quality standards, and lead times with suppliers.
  • Conduct fabric testing, approvals, and quality checks before bulk order.
  • Work closely with the design and merchandising teams to finalize fabric selections.
  • Monitor dyeing, printing, and finishing processes to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Maintain fabric stock reports and track consumption for each style/order.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to fabric delays, rejections, or quality concerns.

Requirements:

  • 4–8 years of relevant experience in fabric sourcing and management.
  • Strong knowledge of knits/wovens, dyeing, printing, and finishing processes.
  • Good negotiation, vendor management, and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel/ERP for reports and tracking.
