Role Overview:

As a 3D Character Modeler & Rigger, you will be responsible for creating high-quality character models from concept to in-game implementation. You will sculpt, retopologize, unwrap UVs, bake textures, and rig characters for smooth and optimized animation. You will work closely with our concept artists, animators, and technical team to ensure characters meet both artistic and technical requirements.

Responsibilities:

● Create high-quality 3D character models based on concept art and references.

● Perform sculpting and retopology to create clean, optimized, game-ready meshes.

● Unwrap UVs and prepare characters for texturing.

● Bake textures (normal maps, AO, curvature, etc.) for PBR workflows.

● Rig characters for animation, ensuring proper deformations and skin weights.

● Collaborate with animators to ensure rigs support required motion.

● Optimize assets for performance while maintaining visual quality.

● Work closely with the art and tech teams to meet project deadlines.

Requirements:

● 2 years of professional experience in 3D character modeling and rigging (game or film industry).

● Proficiency in sculpting software (ZBrush, Blender, or equivalent).

● Strong understanding of topology for animation (clean loops, edge flow).

● Experience with UV unwrapping and texture baking.

● Knowledge of rigging and skinning characters for animation.

● Familiarity with PBR workflows and baking tools (Substance Painter, Marmoset, xNormal).

● Ability to work independently and take feedback constructively.

● Good communication and time-management skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

● Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine character implementation.

● Basic understanding of animation principles.

● Experience with facial rigging and blendshapes.
