Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Planning & Control Engineer to join our dynamic operations team at our Medha facility. This pivotal role is critical in ensuring seamless material flow, accurate production scheduling, and optimal inventory management across all manufacturing operations. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency and meeting our global delivery commitments.
Reporting To: Head of Production Planning & Control
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Scheduling:
Create and maintain precise production schedules based on sales orders, demand forecasts, and current inventory levels to consistently meet delivery timelines - BOM Management:
Develop, update, and rigorously maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOM) for all products, ensuring all technical specifications and revisions are meticulously captured - Sales Team Coordination:
Collaborate closely with the sales team for order confirmation, assessing delivery schedule feasibility, understanding specific customer requirements, and expertly managing order prioritization - Capacity Planning:
Proactively analyze production capacity, identify potential bottlenecks, and strategically optimize resource allocation (machinery, manpower) for maximum efficiency and output - Material Management:
Conduct daily material verification, generate accurate Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) promptly, and ensure the continuous availability of materials to support production - ERP System Management:
Maintain real-time accuracy and integrity within the ERP system for comprehensive inventory tracking, detailed material movements, precise stock updates, and validated production schedules - Schedule Optimization:
Continuously analyze and improve production schedules to minimize lead times, reduce waste (in line with Lean principles), and guarantee adherence to delivery commitments - Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate daily with Purchase, Assembly, Cleanroom, Sales Support, and Stores departments to ensure seamless operational flow and resolve inter-departmental issues swiftly - Warehouse Operations Oversight:
Oversee key warehouse activities including efficient material handling, optimized storage organization, and strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) - Inventory Control:
Monitor critical stock items, accurately track material availability, process all internal material requirements efficiently, and maintain optimal inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock - Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain immaculate records of all material transactions, production movements, and inventory updates; ensure full compliance with ISO quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485 for medical devices)
Required QualificationsEducation:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Plastic Engineering (Mandatory)
Experience:
- 4-5 years of mandatory, hands-on experience in Production Planning & Control (PPC) roles within a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience in BOM management and production scheduling
- Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting production schedules and delivery commitments
- Background in medical device manufacturing or regulated industries is preferred
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (Zoho, SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms)
- Expert knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) principles and practices
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Working knowledge of production scheduling software
- Understanding of capacity planning and resource optimization techniques

Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
- Experience with advanced production optimization techniques
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality standards
- Previous exposure to SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: ₹ Lakh per annum (negotiable based on qualifications and experience)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Work Schedule: Monday to Saturday (standard manufacturing hours)
