What you'll do

We are looking for a passionate, highly motivated, and experienced Java AI Senior Developer to join our team. The potential candidate would work closely with other members of the team and other functional groups within Sales & Service Solutions as a whole. The role demands technical expertise in AI, software development using microservices, Java/Spring Boot, building REST APIs, event-driven architecture, working with databases, UI web component development using Angular, and handling production issues and complex requirements for customers.

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in Artificial Intelligence technologies, including working with large language models (LLMs), generative AI (GenAI), and the ability to develop and operationalize AI capabilities within Enterprise Software.

As a Java AI Senior Developer in the Sales & Service Cloud team, the primary responsibility will be to develop product features within the Sales & Service portfolio, integrating AI-driven solutions, and helping the team deliver services on the cloud-native stack on a continuous basis.

• Be a motivated, self-starter who can operate with minimal handholding.

• Translate business requirements into scalable and performant technical solutions.

• Design, code, test, and assure the quality of complex product features within our Customer Experience & Service portfolio.

• Contribute to the integration of AI-powered capabilities into our solutions using SAP AI Core and LLMs.

• Build intelligent, adaptive services that leverage generative AI to enhance service workflows, recommendations and customer interactions.

• Collaborate across teams and time zones, demonstrating flexibility and accountability.

Role Requirements

• 4–9 years of software engineering experience, with significant exposure to building products on the cloud-native stack.

• Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals.

• Experience working with LLMs and generative AI frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, etc.).

• Knowledge of Agentic AI and frameworks

• Proficiency in Java; Spring Boot experience preferred.

• Familiarity with JavaScript; experience with Angular or ABAP is a plus.

• Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.

• Proven track record of writing production-grade code for enterprise-scale systems.

• Experience with SQL databases; knowledge of NoSQL and event streaming (e.g., Kafka) is a bonus.

• Demonstrated ability to build or integrate AI-driven features into enterprise applications.

• Knowledge of Agentic AI and frameworks

• Experience with SAP software (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Business Technology Platform) is an asset.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
