typist/ medical typist/stenographer

Key Responsibilities

• Typing and Formatting
• Type MRI, CT, and USG reports accurately and promptly based on dictation or handwritten notes.
• Ensure correct medical terminology, formatting, and patient details in all reports.
• Proofread all reports before final print or soft-copy release.
• Data Entry & Record Management
• Enter patient demographics, procedure details, and report status into MIS/RIS/PACS systems.
• Maintain organized digital and physical records of completed reports.
• Update daily workflow logs, billing data, and appointment registers when required.
• Coordination & Communication
• Coordinate with radiologists for report finalization and clarifications.
• Communicate with MRI/CT/USG technicians for patient details and scan history.
• Assist front-office or reception team in managing workload during peak hours.
• Quality, Confidentiality & Compliance
• Ensure patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records.
• Follow workflow protocols for diagnostic reporting and document management.
• Maintain accuracy levels with minimal errors and meet reporting timelines.
• Administrative Support
• Manage printing, scanning, and dispatching of reports to patients/clinicians.
• Assist in maintaining stationary inventory for the typing/report section.
• Support general radiology office tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum DEGREE, additional certificate in typing or computer applications preferred.
• Proficiency in typing (40–60 wpm) with high accuracy.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word), hospital/RIS/PACS software.
• Familiarity with radiology terms (MRI, CT, USG terminology) is an advantage.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced diagnostic environment.

Experience

• Previous experience in a radiology diagnostic center or hospital (MRI/CT/USG departments) is highly preferred.
• Freshers with strong typing skills may also be considered.

Work Schedule

• Rotational shifts as per department requirements.
• Ability to manage extended or weekend duty during high patient load.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹11, ₹15,000.00 per month
