Software Engineer – Fintech Backend

We're looking for an experienced
Backend Engineer (3–6 years)
to design, develop, and scale high-performance fintech systems. You'll build distributed
microservices
and
transactional engines
that power real-time settlements, compliance, and financial automation across multiple payment rails.

You'll work closely with our architecture, DevOps, and data teams to create
secure, scalable, and compliant
systems used by thousands of businesses daily.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain
    microservices
    for payment, reconciliation, and compliance workflows.
  • Build and optimize
    payout, settlement, and refund
    systems across UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, and card networks.
  • Develop
    RESTful, GraphQL, and gRPC APIs
    for merchant dashboards and partner integrations.
  • Work with
    PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB
    for transactional data, ledgers, and reporting.
  • Implement
    event-driven architectures
    using
    Kafka, Redis Streams, or BullMQ
    for real-time processing.
  • Collaborate with frontend teams (React, , Angular) on reconciliation and compliance dashboards.
  • Deploy scalable workloads with
    Docker & Kubernetes
    ensuring high availability and observability.
  • Ensure compliance with
    PCI DSS, ISO 27001
    , and
    RBI/NPCI
    security and data standards.

Required Skills

  • 3–6 years of backend development experience with

    and
    TypeScript
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    microservices
    ,
    event-driven architecture
    , and
    API design
    .
  • Hands-on with
    PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB
    , data modeling, and optimization.
  • Experience with
    Docker, Kubernetes
    , and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with
    Kafka, Redis, or message queues
    for async processing.
  • Good understanding of
    system design, fault tolerance, and observability
    .

Nice to Have

  • Experience in
    fintech, banking, or payments systems

  • Knowledge of
    UPI/IMPS/NEFT settlements
