Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Coordination
- Oversee daily operations of the NICU in collaboration with the nurse manager.
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to NICU staff nurses and support personnel.
- Coordinate patient assignments to ensure optimal staff utilization and patient care.
- Facilitate shift handoffs and participate in interdisciplinary rounds.
Clinical Oversight
- Ensure evidence-based nursing practices are followed in all aspects of neonatal care.
- Assist in the management of complex and high-risk neonatal cases.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide expert clinical support as needed.
Quality & Compliance
- Monitor adherence to hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., Joint Commission, state/federal regulations).
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and data collection.
- Identify areas for improvement and assist in the development and implementation of action plans.
Staff Development & Support
- Provide onboarding and training for new staff.
- Deliver ongoing education and coaching to promote skill development.
- Support staff wellness and conflict resolution when necessary.
Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, therapists, and administration.
- Communicate changes in policies, protocols, and procedures to the NICU team.
- Participate in unit meetings and interdisciplinary committees.
Qualifications :Required:
- Active RN license in Kerala
- Minimum of 2–5 years of recent Level III or Level IV NICU experience.
- Current certifications in BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program).
Preferred:
- Leadership or charge nurse experience.
- Specialty certification (e.g., RNC-NIC).
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
- Effective leadership, team-building, and mentorship skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹28, ₹35,548.17 per month
