Job Description
The Role
As our Salesforce Release Manager, you will be the guardian of our production releases and the champion of DevOps best practices. You will be responsible for managing the entire release lifecycle—from code commit to production deployment—using our established toolchain. You will ensure that releases are predictable, reliable, and minimally disruptive, enabling our teams to deliver value to the business faster and with higher quality.

Key Responsibilities
Release Process & Pipeline Management (40%)

  • Own and manage the end-to-end release process using AutoRabit, including managing user stories, features, and user acceptance testing (UAT) within the tool.
  • Configure and maintain the CI/CD pipeline in AutoRabit, including branching strategies, deployment schedules, and automation workflows.
  • Manage and orchestrate deployments across multiple sandboxes (Dev, SIT, UAT, Staging) leading to production.
  • Enforce governance and compliance checks throughout the release lifecycle.

Coordination & Communication (30%)

  • Chair the weekly Release Readiness and Go/No-Go meetings, presenting a clear view of release scope, risk, and quality to stakeholders.
  • Serve as the central point of communication for all release activities, coordinating between Scrum Masters, Developers, QA Engineers, and Business Stakeholders.
  • Maintain a forward-looking release calendar, managing dependencies across multiple teams and projects.
  • Communicate release details, including success metrics, post-deployment issues, and rollback plans.

Technical Execution & Troubleshooting (30%)

  • Execute deployments, monitor progress, and troubleshoot deployment failures in AutoRabit, working closely with development teams to resolve conflicts.
  • Manage package versioning and dependencies in complex, multi-team environments.
  • Implement and manage data deployment scripts as part of the release process, where applicable.
  • Continuously monitor and improve the release process by incorporating metrics and feedback.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Tools Experience:

  • Must Have: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on, daily experience with AutoRabit in a Release Manager, Senior Administrator, or DevOps Engineer capacity.

  • Proven experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, branches, and deployment steps within the tool.

  • Salesforce Experience:

  • 4+ years of overall experience in the Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Solid understanding of Salesforce development lifecycle, metadata (XML), and sandbox strategies.

  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce setup, change sets, and DevOps best practices.

  • Process & Soft Skills:

  • Proven track record of managing complex, multi-stream release cycles.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications:

  • Copado Certified Administrator / AutoRabit Certified Administrator (Highly preferred).

  • Copado Certified Developer / AutoRabit Certified Engineer (A strong plus).

  • Salesforce Administrator (ADM 201) and Platform App Builder certifications.

  • Technical Skills:

  • Experience with other CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Gearset) is a plus.

  • Basic understanding of Apex and Lightning Web Components to better understand deployment conflicts.

  • Experience in a scripting language (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation.

  • Methodology:

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
