We are seeking a passionate and motivated Mobile App Developer intern to assist in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative and user-friendly mobile applications for both Android and iOS platforms. This is an unpaid internship opportunity designed to provide hands-on experience in mobile app development and exposure to real-world projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in software development, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to grow their skill set in a collaborative environment. You will work closely with our experienced team of developers, designers, and product managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Development

  2. Assist in developing and maintaining code for Android (Kotlin/Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) platforms.

  3. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to build intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.

  4. Contribute to the integration of third-party libraries, SDKs, and APIs to enhance app functionality.

  5. Application Architecture

  6. Support the development of scalable and maintainable application architecture.

  7. Learn and apply design patterns such as MVVM, MVC, and Clean Architecture.

  8. Testing and Debugging

  9. Help create and run unit, integration, and UI tests to ensure application reliability.

  10. Assist in identifying bugs and troubleshooting issues under the guidance of senior developers.

  11. Collaboration and Communication

  12. Work closely with the development team to understand project requirements and objectives.

  13. Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and code reviews.

  14. Learning and Skill Development

  15. Gain knowledge of industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies in mobile development.

  16. Learn about the end-to-end mobile app development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

  17. Documentation

  18. Assist in creating and maintaining technical documentation, including code comments and system architecture diagrams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Technical Expertise

  2. Basic knowledge of Kotlin and/or Java for Android development.

  3. Basic knowledge of Swift and/or Objective-C for iOS development.
  4. Familiarity with Android Studio and/or Xcode.
  5. Understanding of RESTful APIs and web services integration.
  6. Exposure to version control systems like Git.

  7. Awareness of mobile UI/UX design principles and best practices.

  8. Other Skills

  9. Strong willingness to learn and ability to work independently with guidance.

  10. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  11. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  12. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework or prior projects related to mobile app development.
  • Familiarity with cross-platform development frameworks like Flutter or React Native.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like Firebase or AWS.
  • Experience with personal or academic mobile app projects (e.g., GitHub portfolio).
