About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled
Automation Engineer
to join our team in Bangalore. In this role, you will focus on automating and customizing software development workflows and tools to streamline processes and enhance productivity. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in workflow automation, scripting, and integrating development and ALM tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and customize JIRA workflows, screens, fields, permission schemes, notification schemes, and screen schemes to meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain JIRA plugins using Groovy, Core Java, and JavaScript
  • Administer JIRA configurations and ensure smooth operation for all users
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate JIRA with source code management tools such as Git, Bitbucket, and GitHub
  • Support and enhance IBM ALM tools (DOORS, DNG, RQM, RTC) — knowledge in these tools is a plus

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong experience in JIRA administration and workflow customization
  • Proficient in Groovy scripting, Core Java, JavaScript, and Jira plugin development
  • Excellent understanding of JIRA workflows, permission schemes, notification schemes, and screen schemes
  • Good knowledge of source code management tools like Git, Bitbucket, and GitHub
  • Experience with IBM ALM tools (DOORS, DNG, RQM, RTC) is a significant advantage
