The Consultant Trauma Orthopaedics role is a full-time, mid-level position based in Jamnagar. The ideal candidate will bring 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience and will be responsible for providing clinical leadership in the field of trauma orthopaedics. The role entails delivering advanced orthopaedic care, managing trauma cases, and contributing to the overall excellence in patient outcomes at an esteemed, multi-speciality hospital.
Qualifications and Skills
- Expertise in orthopaedic surgery with outstanding clinical acumen and decision-making abilities (Mandatory skill).
- Strong experience and proven skills in performing OPD evaluations and managing orthopaedic consultations efficiently.
- In-depth knowledge of trauma surgery, with the ability to manage high-pressure situations requiring urgent orthopaedic interventions.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and assist in arthroscopy procedures, ensuring optimal joint function and recovery.
- Proficiency in joint replacement surgeries, emphasizing minimally invasive techniques and post-operative care.
- Comprehensive experience in fracture management, including surgical and non-surgical techniques tailored to individual patient needs.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient consultations, interdisciplinary collaboration, and mentoring junior staff.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive trauma and orthopaedic care, from initial assessment through to surgical intervention and post-operative management.
- Conduct outpatient department (OPD) clinics, ensuring precise diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up for orthopaedic cases.
- Lead or assist in arthroscopy procedures, maintaining best practices in minimally invasive joint treatments.
- Perform joint replacement surgeries, focusing on superior patient outcomes and reducing recovery timelines.
- Manage fracture cases, deciding on the most effective treatment options, including both conservative and operative methods.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated care plans for trauma and orthopaedic patients.
- Participate in the training, mentoring, and supervision of junior doctors, surgical trainees, and allied health staff.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in orthopaedic and trauma surgery, ensuring care aligns with international standards and hospital protocols.
