The Manager / Sr. Manager HORECA Sales is responsible for developing and managing B2B sales across the HORECA segment Hotels, Restaurants, Cafes, canteens and catering institutions, Key Clients for the company's FMCG and processed food product portfolio. The role focuses on driving revenue growth, expanding market reach, and building long-term partnerships in the food service channel.

Role & responsibilities

1. Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Identify, approach, and convert new clients in the HORECA channel, including hotel chains, restaurant groups, caterers, canteens cafes, and key institutions
  • Drive product placement and menu penetration through strong relationships and consultative selling.

2. Key Account Management

  • Develop and manage key Institution / HORECA accounts to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and growth.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess performance and explore new opportunities.

3. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement

  • Develop and execute region-specific sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue and volume targets.
  • Analyze sales trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to fine-tune the sales approach.

4. Sampling & Promotion

  • Provide Sample and support to clients and chefs / purchase managers to ensure effective usage.
  • Coordinate product trials, sampling, and promotional events in collaboration with the marketing team when needed

5. Coordination with Internal Stakeholders

  • Work closely with supply chain, logistics, finance, and marketing teams to ensure smooth order execution and timely deliveries.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, invoicing, and credit compliance.

6. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Track competitor activity, pricing, and new launches in the HORECA channel.
  • Submit regular reports on pipeline development, client meetings, and sales forecasts.

7. Team Handling

  • Handle Pan India Manpower Team, Guide & Motivate them, Plan Sales Strategies with the Team.
  • Support in recruiting right manpower in the HORECA division.

8. Manage Distributors

  • Fostering strong relationships with distributors through clear communication, support, and collaboration.
  • Maintaining open and transparent communication with distributors to build trust and resolve issues promptly.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Experience working with foodservice distribution partners and large B2B clients
  • Deep understanding of HORECA sales and foodservice industry dynamics
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
