Key Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell health insurance and related general insurance products
  • Meet customers in the field, understand their needs, and recommend suitable policies
  • Explain policy features, benefits, premium options, and exclusions clearly
  • Support customers in completing forms, documentation, and post-issuance service
  • Ensure timely renewals and maintain long-term relationships with policyholders
  • Stay updated on products, underwriting norms, and regulatory guidelines

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum qualification: 10th pass (as per IRDAI norms; 10+2 preferred in urban areas)
  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Good communication skills in local language; basic English is an added advantage
  • Comfortable working in a field-sales, target-driven environment
  • Must own a smartphone with internet access

Licensing & IRDAI Exam Process

To work as a Health Insurance Advisor, you must be licensed as per IRDAI regulations. As part of the process:

  • You must clear the IRDAI exam to obtain your advisor license
  • Only after passing the exam and completing onboarding can you solicit and sell insurance policies

Documents Required for Onboarding & IRDAI Process

The following documents will be required to initiate your registration and licensing process:

  • PAN card
  • Aadhaar card
  • Education certificate (minimum qualification: 10th pass)
  • Recent passport-size photograph
