Job Title: Industrial Safety Engineer – Solar Power Projects

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified and proactive Industrial Safety Engineer to ensure health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance across large-scale MW solar power plant projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing safety protocols at utility-scale project sites, with a deep understanding of solar EPC operations and statutory safety regulations.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures for MW-scale solar project sites.
  • Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations regularly.
  • Ensure all construction and O&M activities comply with statutory safety and environmental regulations.
  • Deliver safety induction training, toolbox talks, and periodic refresher training to all site personnel.
  • Monitor usage of PPE, safety signage, and emergency preparedness protocols.
  • Coordinate with project managers and site engineers to integrate safety into every stage of project execution.
  • Maintain site safety records, prepare compliance reports, and liaise with authorities for site approvals.
  • Promote a culture of continuous safety awareness and improvement across teams.
  • Key Requirements:
    Degree/Diploma in Engineering with a specialization in Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety / Environment.
  • 5–7 years of experience in safety management for large-scale solar power plants (MW scale).
  • Certified in OSHA/NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent safety standards.
  • Strong knowledge of construction safety, electrical safety, and renewable energy site operations.
  • Familiarity with Indian Factories Act, Environmental Regulations, and Solar MNRE guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Willingness to work and travel to remote project locations.
  • Preferred:
    Experience with SCADA safety systems, fire protection, and evacuation planning.
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 / EHS management systems.
