Key Responsibilities

  • You'll be responsible for monitoring, detecting and responding to any potential security threats and risks to the organisation, using the available technology toolset.
  • Correlate and consolidate alerts, reports, anomalies and other intelligence sources to put threats into context
  • Determine incident urgency and priority and initiate an appropriate response.
  • Continuously improve the accuracy and relevance of the Bank's detection tools and capabilities to keep pace with changing environments for regulatory and compliance requirements.

Skills and Experience

  • You'll have hands on experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platforms, Integrated Data Service (IDS) platforms and security monitoring tools, preferably within financial services.
  • Proven experience in incident response and threat detection, with strong knowledge of banking security regulations.
  • Demonstrable scripting and programming skills and experience with cloud security platforms.
  • Experience of intrusion detection methodologies and techniques for detecting host and network-based intrusions.
  • Network security architecture concepts including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defence-in-depth).
  • Knowledge of new and emerging information technology (IT) and cybersecurity technologies.
  • Knowledge of vulnerability information dissemination sources (e.g., alerts, advisories, errata, and bulletins).
