Role: Senior UI Engineer

As a SSE UI in our Engineering department, you'll have the chance to:  

Design and develop end to end software components and systems from the ground up and have ownership of them utilizing a variety of latest Web application frameworks, Angular/React UI frameworks. You will be part of agile teams that build upon CI and CD pipelines to speed up the products' time to market. You will be required to mentor junior developers within the team and help the team deliver quality output by defining best software development practices. You will have an opportunity to work on different tech stacks comprising React, AWS, Docker and much more where you will be working closely with the UX and design teams to build world class products for our end users.

Who are your stakeholders? 

Key stakeholders include the Product Leads of various products, Leads of various teams across Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Trading departments.

What you'll bring  

• 4-6 years' experience developing with JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Excellent understanding of algorithm & data structures.
• Hands on experience with UI technologies such as jQuery or AngularJS or ReactJS
• Experience building multi-tier web applications, experience working on all layers of the stack is a plus.
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, or Google Cloud or Azure is a plus Must Have Skills
• Strong Software Product Development experience using JavaScript, CSS, HTML
• Experience building multi-tier web applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate with the Design team to improve aesthetics and feel
• Working experience with at least 1 unit test framework
• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging Good to Have Skills
• AWS cloud exposure with S3, Redshift and Knowledge around scalable service architecture

What impact will you create? 

You will identify & evangelize frameworks and methodologies for building highly available, high-performance systems. You ensure that design/architecture documents incorporate these practices and introduce new tools and methodologies when appropriate to simplify or increase efficiency of development. You'll drive evaluation of new tools via POCs and continuously evaluate how the team operates in different areas of software engineering. You will Initiate changes necessary to move the team a step higher in adopting best practices and critique the software product design and architecture and contribute to its evolution from the inception.
