Job Objective

This position exists for overseeing security and safety operations across multiple properties within a cluster or region. The role involves ensuring that each property under the cluster adheres to IHCL's security and safety standards while customizing policies and procedures to address specific risks and challenges. The Cluster Head acts as a strategic leader, driving continuous improvement and fostering a proactive security and safety culture.

Essential Job Tasks

This role is responsible for managing the security and safety operations across a cluster of properties, ensuring a consistent approach to risk management and safety standards. Key responsibilities include leading risk assessments, overseeing fire safety audits, and implementing emergency response planning across multiple properties. The position involves supervising Cluster Security Teams to maintain uniform safety standards and collaborating with property General Managers to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Additionally, the role involves developing and overseeing training and awareness programs for staff, ensuring compliance with both local regulations and IHCL protocols.

Areas of Responsibility

1. Leadership & Strategic Management.

2. Oversight of S&S Operations Across the Cluster. Lead security and safety operations across multiple properties within a designated cluster, ensuring that all properties meet IHCL's high standards. Provide strategic guidance to S&S Managers and Senior S&S Managers on property-specific risks and challenges.

3. Mentoring and Development of S&S Leaders. Support the development and mentoring of S&S Managers, ensuring continuous professional growth. Lead talent development initiatives across the cluster to build a high-performance S&S team.

4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting. Conduct regular performance reviews of S&S staff across all properties in the cluster, tracking key metrics such as incident response times, safety compliance rates, and customer satisfaction. Report regularly to the Area Head/Director of S&S on the status of security operations.

5. Cluster-Wide Risk Assessment & Mitigation.

6. Comprehensive Risk Assessments. Lead cluster-wide risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and risks specific to each property. Implement mitigation strategies and ensure regular updates to risk profiles for all properties.

7. Incident Response Leadership. Act as the primary incident response leader for high-impact incidents affecting multiple properties. Develop and implement property-specific crisis management and business continuity plans, ensuring that the response is coordinated and efficient across the cluster.

8. Security Systems & Technology Integration.

9. Deployment of Advanced Security Technology. Lead the integration of advanced security technology across properties in the cluster, ensuring systems such as access control, surveillance, and emergency communication tools are functioning optimally. Customize technological solutions to fit the unique layouts and security needs of each property.

10. System Standardization & Upgrades. Standardize security systems across properties to ensure consistency in operation and response. Identify opportunities for system upgrades and work with vendors and internal teams to implement advanced solutions.

11. Fire & Life Safety Programs.

12. Cluster-Wide Fire & Life Safety Management. Oversee the implementation of comprehensive fire and life safety programs across all properties in the cluster. Ensure each property complies with local regulations and IHCL standards, conducting regular drills and audits.

13. Emergency Preparedness & Training. Lead emergency preparedness initiatives, ensuring all properties conduct regular fire drills and evacuation exercises. Provide guidance to S&S Managers on property-specific safety challenges and train staff in emergency response.

14. Compliance & Audits.

15. Ensuring Cluster Compliance. Ensure all properties within the cluster adhere to both local and international safety regulations. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with IHCL's standards for security and safety.

16. Cluster-Level Incident Reporting & Documentation. Oversee incident documentation and reporting processes across the cluster. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of incidents to senior leadership, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for improvements.

17. Safety & Security Culture Development.

18. Fostering a Proactive Safety & Security Culture. Lead cluster-wide initiatives to promote a strong security and safety culture. Ensure that all employees, from junior staff to senior managers, understand their roles in maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Safety, or a related field
• Certification in Advanced Security Technology, Crisis Management, and Fire Safety
• First Aid and Occupational Health & Safety certifications

Work Experience

• 22-25 years of experience in security and safety, including multi-property management and leadership roles

Languages Needed in Position

• Fluency in English, Hindi, and local dialects
