About the Role

As an SDE-2 - Backend at Medikabazaar, you will be at the forefront of designing and building scalable, high-performance, and reliable backend systems. You'll have the opportunity to work on complex and challenging projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute towards the growth and success of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and implement robust and scalable backend systems that power our applications and services
  • Lead by example in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Set coding standards, best practices, and ensure their adherence
  • Tackle complex technical challenges and provide innovative solutions to optimize performance and improve system reliability
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers and senior engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical expertise and helping them grow in their careers
  • Develop and maintain automated testing to ensure the reliability and robustness of backend systems.
  • Optimize system performance and ensure that backend services can handle high loads efficiently
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, API documentation, and implementation details

Requirements

  • B Tech/ BS / BE / M Tech / MS / ME in Computer Science or related subject from Top Tier College
  • 4+ years of proven experience in backend development and software engineering
  • Deep expertise and practical knowledge of Data Structures, Algorithms, Operating Systems, Databases and Computer Networks.
  • Object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
  • Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages (Java preferred)
  • Good to have worked upon Java and Spring Boot
  • Expertise in database systems, both relational and NoSQL
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud computing platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
