Role: Trainer – Employability Enhancement Skill Development Program

Location: Dibrugarh University, Assam

Reporting To: Project Manager, Smartskills Bits & Bytes (P) Ltd./ HO Person.

Duration: As per project schedule

Objective: To deliver high-impact skill development sessions that enhance employability, career readiness, and industry alignment for DU students.

Must Proficency in Delivery of Spoken English , Soft Skill and Digital Literacy( IT )

  1. Training Delivery & Facilitation

  2. Conduct structured training sessions as per the approved curriculum and session plans.

  3. Facilitate interactive, learner-centric modules using blended learning techniques (audio-visuals, role plays, case studies, etc.).
  4. Ensure coverage of all topics within the allocated time frame while maintaining quality and engagement.
  5. Adapt delivery style to suit diverse learner profiles across departments and disciplines.

  6. Curriculum Adherence & Customization

  7. Follow the prescribed curriculum aligned with Smartskills standards.

  8. Customize examples and exercises to reflect local industry context and student aspirations.
  9. Integrate career enhancement themes such as resume building, interview skills, workplace etiquette, and digital literacy.

  10. Student Engagement & Motivation

  11. Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.

  12. Encourage participation through group activities, Q&A, and feedback loops.
  13. Identify and support slow learners or students needing additional guidance.

  14. Assessment & Feedback

  15. Conduct formative and summative assessments as per project guidelines.

  16. Maintain records of attendance, performance, and feedback for each batch.
  17. Share timely feedback with students and escalate concerns to the Project Manager when needed.

  18. Coordination & Reporting

  19. Coordinate with Project Manager session logistics and student mobilization.

  20. Submit daily training reports, session photographs, and feedback summaries to Smartskills HO Office and Project Manager.
  21. Participate in review meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of training delivery.

  22. Compliance & Professional Conduct

  23. Adhere to Smartskills Code of conduct.

  24. Maintain punctuality, professional attire, and respectful communication always.
  25. Ensure data privacy and confidentiality of student information or any other documents of Smartskills.

  26. Continuous Learning & Improvement

  27. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging skills, and pedagogical innovations.

  28. Participate in internal ToT (Training of Trainers) and refresher programs organized by Smartskills.
  29. Share insights and best practices with fellow trainers to foster a culture of excellence.

  30. Asset Management & Administrative Support

  31. Ensure proper handling, upkeep, and security of all computers, training equipment, and digital infrastructure provided at the training venue.

  32. Take full responsibility for preventing loss, damage, or misuse of any equipment entrusted for training delivery.
  33. Support administrative tasks including:

§ Data entry and MIS updates as per project requirements

§ Generating and sharing daily/weekly/Monthly training reports

§ Coordinating attendance and feedback documentation

§ Making follow-up or mobilization calls if assigned

  1. Placement Facilitation & Industry Linkages

  2. Actively support the placement of trained candidates by:

  3. Identifying and engaging with potential employers across relevant sectors
  4. Facilitating employer tie-ups and maintaining a database of hiring partners
  5. Visiting employer premises to explore job roles, workplace readiness, and collaboration opportunities
  6. Coordinating interviews, job fairs, and placement drives in consultation with the Project Manager
  7. Assist in planning and executing On-the-Job Training (OJT) by:
  8. Identifying suitable OJT partners and securing tie-ups
  9. Coordinating logistics and documentation for OJT implementation
  10. Monitoring trainee performance during OJT and collecting feedback from employers
  11. Ensure timely reporting of placement outcomes, employer feedback, and OJT progress to the Project Manager and Smartskills HO Team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20, ₹25,000.00 per month
