  • Operate, monitor, and maintain the effluent treatment plant (ETP) on a daily basis.
  • Conduct regular testing of influent and effluent parameters (pH, TSS, COD, BOD, TDS, etc.).
  • Ensure treated water meets the standards set by Pollution Control Boards (PCB) and environmental norms.
  • Prepare and maintain logbooks, daily records, and compliance reports.
  • Manage the dosing of chemicals (coagulants, flocculants, neutralizers, etc.) as per requirement.
  • Supervise sludge handling, drying, and safe disposal methods.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for repair and preventive maintenance of ETP equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards while handling chemicals and machinery.
  • Liaise with statutory bodies during environmental audits and inspections.
  • Implement cost control and energy-saving measures in plant operations.
  • Train operators and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping, and safety of the ETP area.
  • Qualifications & Experience:Diploma / B.Sc. / B.Tech in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in operating an Effluent Treatment Plant (freshers with relevant training may also be considered).
  • Knowledge of environmental laws, waste management, and pollution control norms.
  • Familiarity with lab testing methods for water and wastewater.
