Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis and Security Consultant responsible for administering, supporting, and securing SAP landscapes across S/4HANA, SAP ECC, standalone Java systems, and integrated platforms. The role includes system operations, upgrades, database administration, performance tuning, high availability monitoring, authorizations management, and technical integrations.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Basis Administration

  • Provide end-to-end technical support for
    SAP S/4HANA
    , SAP ECC, and ABAP/JAVA dual-stack environments.
  • Perform SAP system monitoring, kernel upgrades, support pack updates, component upgrades, Java patching, and SAP Note implementations.
  • Administer
    SAP HANA
    and
    Oracle
    databases, including backups, restores, system refreshes, space management, and performance optimization.
  • Handle
    Database System Refreshes
    (ABAP and Java) including pre/post tasks, BDLS, profile adjustments, RFC corrections, and security store migration.
  • Support and administer
    SAP Java stack systems
    such as
    SAP PO
    ,
    PI
    , and
    Adobe Document Services (ADS)
    .
  • Maintain and troubleshoot
    SAP BusinessObjects (BOBJ)
    including CMS services, WebI, and system connectivity.
  • Perform OS-level administration on
    Linux
    , including filesystem checks, logs analysis

SAP Security and Fiori Authorization Management

  • Create, modify, and maintain
    SAP Security roles
    (ABAP, Fiori, and composite roles) aligned with functional and audit requirements.
  • Investigate
    missing authorizations
    , analyze SU53/ST01 traces, and resolve access issues.
  • Administer user access, role provisioning, and adherence to security compliance and governance.

System Monitoring, Performance & Troubleshooting

  • Configure and support
    Solution Manager
    for EWA, System Monitoring, Technical Monitoring, Root Cause Analysis, and landscape management.
  • Monitor system logs, dumps (ST22), ICM/Web Dispatcher, performance traces, and SAP application-level issues.
  • Troubleshoot system failures, connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration failures across SAP and database layers.

HANA High Availability (HA) & Replication Monitoring

  • Monitor and support
    SAP HANA High Availability
    setups including:
  • System Replication (HSR)
  • Auto-failover
  • Sync/Async replication modes
  • Primary/Secondary node health checks
  • Cluster resource monitoring (SUSE Pacemaker)

Database Management

  • Monitor and maintain
    SAP HANA
    performance, memory usage, SQL execution, backups, tenant management, and system replication.
  • Support
    Oracle Database
    administration including Data Guard, listener configuration, backups, and tuning.
