Key Responsibilities

This role is focused on ensuring the timely and accurate monthly financial reporting for the company's Australia and New Zealand entities.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and finalize all monthly financial accounts, including P&L reports, Balance Sheets, and reconciliations.
  • Journal Entries: Prepare and process monthly general, standing, and reversing journals.
  • Audit & Tax Support: Assist with the annual statutory financial statements, manage deliverables for the year-end audit (Deloitte), and assist the Tax Manager with tax returns.
  • Analysis & Review: Prepare P&L variance analysis and monthly Board Reports.
  • Team Development: Train and mentor Assistant Accountants and proactively seek process improvements.
  • Compliance: Ensure GL accuracy, review payroll posting, and maintain knowledge of financial and operational procedures.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 7 to 14 years in the Accounting Domain.
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting (B.Com preferred).
  • Preferred Qualification: CA semi qualified or MBA Finance is an advantage.
  • Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advanced or above advanced expertise). Familiarity with ERP/Systems like Great Plains is a plus.
