With ambitious plan to build a large offshore development centers in multiple cities of the country ETS India shall be at the forefront in developing capabilities and providing career opportunities to employees in diverse technologies across domains of Insurance.

Role Description:

The Developer will be responsible for developing new system functionality, providing system maintenance & enhancements in SAS projects to ensure that the initiatives and internal customers are provided full lifecycle support, from implementation through on-going support. This person will be responsible for coding, unit testing, bug-fixes a day-to-day basis.

• Creation of functional and/or technical concepts
• Development or modification of SAS databases
• Changes to interfaces
• Technical review of requirements
• Documentation of operational knowledge
• Design, development and maintenance of SAS databases to meet support and/or project requirements.
• Liaising with business and IT teams to understand business requirements and translate them into formal technical requirements and application code.
• Collaborate with IT support teams (I&O, SAS) to ensure that support and project requirements are developed and successfully implemented
• Develop and execute unit tests and integration plans/scripts to verify that application changes meet technical specifications
• Responsibility for the entire system development lifecycle
• Collaborate with the business team to perform acceptance testing and participate in integration testing
• Participate in production support/service rotation, including weekend and after-hours support
• Provide solution delivery methodology artefacts (ERGO Essence Model) in conjunction with application components.
• Participate in technical reviews at appropriate stages of development

Key Competencies & Skills requiredTechnical:

• Experience in all components of software delivery with concentration in requirements, design and development.
• Quick starter to troubleshoot/resolve incidents and business support items
• Experience in SAS / Datawarehouse Tecnologies
• Has knowledge in all common MS-Office products, Jira, Confluence, Enterprise Architect
• Knowledge Test Tools for Support (e.g. ALM)

Nice to have:

• Insurance Know How Basic knowledge of Cobol / Mainframe
• Exposure to collaboration tools like SharePoint, Fileshare, Agile Methodology, Confluence, KanBan Knowledge
• Insurance Know How

Previous Experience & QualificationsEducation/Qualification:

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience

Knowledge & Experience:

• 2-3 years of SAS and Datawarehouse Development background in design, analysis and coding, bug fixing
• Financial Services background appreciated
• Experience of working within multi-location teams
• English
