Role & responsibilities

  • Project Management: Oversee and manage day-to-day construction activities on-site, from planning and scheduling to execution and closeout.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work complies with project specifications, building codes, and quality standards through regular inspections.
  • Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and ensure the worksite adheres to all legal and health and safety guidelines.
  • Team Coordination: Liaise with architects, contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project flow.
  • Technical Oversight: Review project plans and technical drawings, and provide technical advice to resolve on-site issues and deficiencies.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit progress reports, site reports, and other necessary documentation to management.
  • Resource Management: Monitor and manage project budgets, resources, and material procurement to ensure projects stay within budget and on schedule.

Essential skills and qualifications

  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods.
  • Excellent knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in project planning and management software.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills for managing a diverse team.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address technical issues and project challenges effectively.
  • Ability to analyze survey reports, maps, and other project documents
