Kubernetes Wrangler

About the Role:

Were looking for an experienced Kubernetes Wrangler to take ownership of our Kubernetes environments and ensure their stability, scalability, and security. As a Kubernetes Wrangler, you will be the go-to expert in managing container orchestration, troubleshooting cluster issues, and working closely with developers to deploy cloud-native applications seamlessly. This role requires a strong background in Kubernetes administration, infrastructure automation, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and operate Kubernetes clusters in production, staging, and development environments.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot containerized applications on Kubernetes.
• Automate cluster provisioning, scaling, upgrades, and recovery.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates and automation scripts (Terraform, Helm, Ansible).
• Collaborate with development teams to design cloud-native architectures and deployment strategies.
• Implement and maintain observability solutions: logging, metrics, tracing (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Manage Kubernetes RBAC, network policies, and security best practices.
• Handle incident response, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Optimize cluster performance, resource allocation, and cost-efficiency.
• Stay current with Kubernetes ecosystem updates, tools, and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

• Kubernetes certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their managed Kubernetes services (EKS, GKE, AKS).
• Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
• Familiarity with GitOps tools like Argo CD or Flux.
• Understanding of security standards and compliance requirements (RBAC policies, Pod Security Policies, OPA).
• Experience with Helm chart development and management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
