Job Summary:
The Telesales Executive is responsible for generating sales through telephone calls to potential or existing customers. This role involves promoting products or services, understanding customer needs, handling objections, and closing sales over the phone. The ideal candidate should be confident, persuasive, and target-driven with excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Make outbound calls to prospective or existing customers to promote products/services
Understand customer needs and offer appropriate solutions or products
Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets
Handle customer queries, objections, and follow-ups effectively
Maintain a detailed database of all interactions and leads using CRM tools or spreadsheets
Follow communication "scripts" and adapt as needed
Provide accurate information about products, pricing, and offers
Collaborate with the sales team and report performance to supervisors
Upsell and cross-sell where applicable
Collect feedback to improve customer experience and sales strategies
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Sales, Marketing, or Business is a plus
Proven experience in telesales, telemarketing, or a similar role (0–2 years typically)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong persuasion and negotiation abilities
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with CRM software
Ability to handle rejection and remain motivated

Preferred Skills:
Experience in B2B or B2C telesales
Knowledge of the products/services being offered
Ability to work under pressure and meet sales targets
Multilingual abilities (if dealing with a diverse customer base)
