About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive GST & Direct Tax Executive to join our Chartered Accountancy firm.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling GST compliances, income tax filings, and providing support in tax assessments and audits.

This role requires sound knowledge of Indian taxation laws, analytical thinking, and accuracy in documentation.

Key Responsibilities:Goods & Services Tax (GST):

  • Preparation and filing of monthly/quarterly/annual GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, GSTR-9C).
  • Reconciliation of GST input credit with books and vendor data.
  • Assistance in GST audits, assessments, and departmental queries.
  • Maintaining proper records of invoices, input tax credits, and supporting documents.
  • Keeping track of latest amendments and notifications in GST laws.

Direct Tax:

  • Preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITRs) for individuals, firms, and companies.
  • Computation of advance tax, TDS liability, and filing of TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.).
  • Assistance in tax audits under section 44AB and working on Form 3CD reports.
  • Support in notices, scrutiny assessments, and appeals.
  • Coordination with clients for collection of required financial information and documents.
  • Assisting in statutory and internal audits as per firm requirements.
  • Maintaining proper documentation and workpapers for all assignments.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and ensuring timely compliance.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of GST laws, Income Tax Act, and TDS provisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, and accounting software.
  • Good analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple clients.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Education:B.Com / CA Inter

Experience: 3-4 years of experience in GST and Direct Tax compliance (preferably in a CA firm).
