Job Title: Head of Marketing - Iron Ore Mining

Role Overview:
The Head of Marketing will be responsible for leading the strategic marketing, sales, and commercial functions of our iron ore division. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in the iron ore mining sector, a strong understanding of global and domestic ore markets, and a proven track record of driving revenue growth through effective marketing, pricing strategies, and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to drive iron ore sales across domestic and international markets.
- Analyze global market trends, competitor activity, and customer demands to identify new opportunities and threats.
- Oversee sales negotiations, long-term offtake agreements, and spot sale transactions with traders, steel manufacturers, and end-users.
- Manage pricing models based on global indices (e.g., Platts, Metal Bulletin) and shipping cost fluctuations.
- Maintain strong relationships with key customers, government agencies, trade bodies, and logistics partners.
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and finance teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with export/import regulations, quality certifications, and sustainability requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and build a high-performing marketing and sales team.
- Represent the company in industry forums, exhibitions, and trade missions.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in sales and marketing within the mining industry, with at least 5 years in iron ore.
- In-depth knowledge of iron ore grades, beneficiation, global pricing mechanisms, and trade logistics.
- Strong network within steel, trading, and mining sectors
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage large customer portfolios.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
