About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical ETL Tester to validate and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and performance of our data integration processes. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing ETL workflows, data validation, and data warehouse systems, ensuring high-quality data delivery for analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze ETL design documents, data mappings, and business requirements to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Perform data validation, data reconciliation, and data integrity testing across source and target systems.
  • Execute manual and automated test scripts to verify ETL workflows and data transformations.
  • Validate that extracted, transformed, and loaded data matches business expectations and design specifications.
  • Test data extraction, transformation logic, aggregations, and loading processes.
  • Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with developers to resolve data or process discrepancies.
  • Conduct performance testing to validate ETL job efficiency and scalability.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automation testing frameworks for ETL (e.g., QuerySurge, Datagaps, or custom Python/SQL automation).
  • Knowledge of big data testing with tools like Spark, Hadoop, Hive, or Databricks.
  • Exposure to cloud ETL environments (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Google Dataflow).
  • Understanding of data quality tools and data governance frameworks.
