  • Direct and engage the employees responsible for the operation, monitoring and repairs and maintenance of equipment, machines and buildings at the site.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to identify opportunities to improve reliability and resolve acceptable risk tolerance for equipment.
  • Participate in project planning, cost estimation, tracking and payback justification to ensure budget is met.
  • Plan and prioritize work orders, scheduling overall repair and maintenance to minimize production downtime and disruptions.
  • Champion personal safety and serves as a safety mentor to team.
  • Ensures that critical tasks, best management practices, work instructions and procedures, audits, preventative maintenance, contractor checklists are kept up to date and training/documentation is performed.
  • Ensure that contractor and vendor tasks are performed according to the corporate safety culture and routines.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.
