About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Karate Automation Framework Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in automation testing and backend technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Spring Boot, object-oriented programming, and API testing, along with exposure to AWS cloud services. This role involves designing and maintaining robust automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using the Karate framework.

Translate business requirements into comprehensive test strategies and plans.

Develop and maintain reusable test scripts aligned with project standards and mandates.

Identify, document, and escalate functional and technical issues to relevant stakeholders.

Create and maintain standard testing documentation, systems, and procedures.

Implement repeatable and measurable testing methodologies to ensure consistency and accuracy.

Manage and prioritize testing workload to meet project deadlines.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation.

Perform API testing using tools such as Apache JMeter, REST-Assured, Postman, and Karate.

Implement and maintain BDD test scenarios to support behavior-driven development practices.

Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve automation-related issues.

Continuously improve automation processes, frameworks, and tools.

Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong proficiency in Spring Boot and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

Hands-on experience with Karate framework for automation.

Exposure to AWS cloud services.

Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git).

Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven, and Gradle.

Experience with API testing tools (Apache JMeter, REST-Assured, Postman, Karate).

Practical experience in BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow, or Karate BDD).

Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with other automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, TestNG).

Knowledge of CI/CD tools and pipeline integration (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).

Understanding of Agile methodologies and best practices in software delivery.
