About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled AWS Data Engineer with hands-on experience in AWS Glue and other AWS analytics services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that support data ingestion, transformation, and loading for advanced analytics and business intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines using
    AWS Glue, PySpark
    , and other AWS services such as
    Lambda, Step Functions, and S3
    .
  • Build and optimize
    scalable data lakes and data warehouses
    leveraging
    AWS S3, Athena, Redshift
    , and the
    Glue Data Catalog
    .
  • Automate data ingestion and integration from diverse
    structured and unstructured data sources
    .
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine-tune
    data pipelines to ensure high performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with
    data analysts, data scientists, and key stakeholders
    to translate business requirements into effective data solutions.
  • Enforce
    data quality, governance, and security
    standards in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive
    documentation
    for data workflows, schemas, and technical implementations.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience
    in data engineering, preferably within
    cloud-based environments
    .
  • Proven expertise in
    AWS Glue
    , including
    ETL jobs, crawlers, and workflows
    .
  • Strong proficiency in
    PySpark, Python, and SQL
    for data processing and transformation.
  • Hands-on experience with core
    AWS services
    such as
    S3, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, IAM, Athena, Redshift
    , and the
    Glue Data Catalog
    .
  • In-depth understanding of
    data warehousing
    ,
    data modeling
    , and
    data lake architectures
    .
  • Practical experience in
    data pipeline orchestration
    ,
    performance tuning
    , and
    optimization
    .
  • Familiarity with
    DevOps tools
    (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Git) and
    Agile development methodologies
    .

Preferred Qualifications

  • AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty
    or
    AWS Certified Solutions Architect
    certification.
  • Hands-on experience with
    real-time data streaming technologies
    such as
    Amazon Kinesis
    or
    Apache Kafka
    .
