Who We Are?

C.V. Raman Global University (CGU), Odisha started in 1997 as a degree-level engineering college, named as C.V. Raman College of Engineering (CVRCE). Where You Come In?

As a Hostel Caretaker, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment for all boarders. You will be the first point of contact for maintaining hostel operations, supporting the warden in day-to-day administrative and operational activities, and upholding the University's standards of hygiene, security, and discipline.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Immediate Supervisor: Hostel Warden

Indirect Supervisors Chief Warden

Working Relationship: Peers, Supervisors, Canteen Operations team

Job Location: In-campus/Out-Campus hostel, CGU

  • Property Management and Safety: Overseeing the security, cleanliness, and maintenance of the hostel facility, performing basic repairs, supervising services (like housekeeping), and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and security procedures, including regular compliance checks.
  • Student Support and Care: Providing a high standard of boarder care, managing medical emergencies, assisting with administrative functions like admissions, and helping students with their studies, particularly in Mathematics, Physics, and English.
  • Operational and Administrative Duties: Managing inventories, assisting the Warden with day-to-day administration, efficiently managing and maintaining clear communication with supervisory staff.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Qualification: B.Ed. with First Class career throughout.
  • Experience: 1-3 Years
  • The candidate must be willing to stay in the campus hostel and be available for hostel-related responsibilities at all times.
  • Female candidate will be given preference
  • Responsible, caring, disciplined, and capable of maintaining high standards of hygiene, safety, and student welfare within the hostel environment.

The ideal candidate should be reliable and proactive in managing the daily operations of the facility, supervising & guiding students in their studies.
