Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic VP Engineering & Product Development to lead the technical strategy and execution of new and existing product lines. The role will require hands-on leadership in design innovation, modularization, and cross-functional integration, supporting global collaboration and manufacturing excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define product architecture, modular design strategies, and standardization of key components across product lines
  • Assess feasibility of designs, manage stamping and forming processes, and integrate metal and plastic elements
  • Introduce advanced materialsplastics and metals—and optimize manufacturing processes for cost, quality, and innovation
  • Lead design reviews and prototype validation lifecycle—from drawings to trial builds and product launch
  • Engage with clients by providing technical insight during solution development and presentations
  • Mentor and develop the engineering team's design, problem-solving, and technical judgment capabilities
  • Establish mid-to-long-term technical roadmaps aligned with strategic business goals
  • Lead intellectual property initiatives, including patents and trade-secret strategies

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Materials Science, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years in automotive product development, with at least 5 years in senior technical leadership
  • Strong familiarity with the full product lifecycle—concept to mass production
  • Skilled in CAD (e.g., CATIA, AutoCAD), DFMEA, product validation, and test data interpretation
  • Deep knowledge of IATF 16949, quality management frameworks, tooling, plastic injection, stamping, and mechanical integration
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, cross-functional collaboration, and crisis management capability
  • Excellent English communication, presentation, and negotiation skills (Mandarin beneficial but not mandatory)
