Job Title: Visa Counsellor

Reports To: Branch Manager / Senior Immigration Consultant

Location: Mohali

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

The Visa Counsellor is responsible for guiding clients through the entire visa application process from eligibility assessment to documentation and submission. The role involves providing accurate visa information, assisting with application preparation, ensuring compliance with immigration laws, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed consultations with clients to understand their immigration or study-abroad goals.
  • Assess client eligibility for various visa categories (student, work, PR, visitor, etc.) based on immigration laws and regulations.
  • Guide clients in preparing and organizing required documentation for visa applications.
  • Stay up to date with changing visa rules, immigration policies, and embassy procedures.
  • Assist clients with filling out application forms and ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Coordinate with embassies, consulates, and visa processing centers as needed.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding their application status and next steps.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of client interactions, documents, and case progress in CRM or internal databases.
  • Support marketing and client acquisition efforts by participating in counseling sessions, webinars, or events.
  • Achieve assigned targets related to client enrollments, visa approvals, and service satisfaction.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all company and government regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferred in International Relations, Business, or related field).
  • 1–3 years of experience in visa counseling, immigration consulting, or overseas education advisory.
  • Strong understanding of visa documentation and procedures for key countries (e.g., Canada, Australia, UK, USA, Schengen, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Customer-service oriented with a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Fluency in [English / local language]; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
