Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in computer-aided design and be proficient in various CAD software applications. This role involves creating detailed designs, schematics, and models that contribute to our construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure that all designs meet the required specifications and standards.

Duties

  • Develop and produce detailed CAD drawings and models using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SolidWorks.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand design requirements and translate them into accurate schematics.
  • Utilise SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, and MicroStation for various design tasks as needed.
  • Conduct quality checks on designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports.
  • Maintain an organised library of design files for easy access by team members.
  • Participate in project meetings to discuss design progress and address any issues that may arise.

Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, SketchUp, NavisWorks, Civil 3D, and MicroStation is essential.
  • Strong understanding of construction principles and practices.
  • Ability to create detailed schematics and technical drawings with precision.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving skills to address design challenges efficiently.
