AECOM Enterprise Capability is actively seeking a creative, self-driven, talented Principal Engineer/ Senior Principal Engineer - Transportation Planning to join a large, dynamic, and highly technical team of planners, modelers, engineers, and technicians. The successful candidate will lead the transportation planning group and oversee the development of diverse types of transportation planning, modelling projects. There is an opportunity to engage in pioneering projects that utilize the latest technologies to improve all forms of transportation.

The responsibilities associated with this position encompass a diverse range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Leading the projects technically to deliver intelligent and robust traffic engineering, transport planning, modelling, and road safety solutions to meet the needs of our clients.
• Being accountable for traffic engineering and transport planning, modelling delivery and verification on a range of transport projects.
• Mentor, guide teams to achieve technical requirements and deliver the projects.
• Good hands-on experience of Strategic, operational modelling softwares viz, Saturn, Vissim, Visum, SYNCHRO, Sydra and other relevant softwares applicable for multi regions.
• Develop, nurture, and grow the delivery capacity and capability across teams.
• Handling projects and managing project teams to take up the works and motivate to deliver for exceptional outcomes.
• Be a Technical leader and support and mentor the juniors to develop the skills.
• Develop and evaluate alternative conceptual designs; consolidate project alternatives and recommendations from stakeholder inputs.
• Collaborate with Management in the development and execution of significant project pursuits and delivery.
• Establish relationships with external and internal clients, industry associations, potential consultant team members.
• Look for business opportunities and align the team towards the requirements to develop and grow in a sustainable way.
• Participates in the development of technical proposals for various regions and influence EC in all opportunities.
• Set quality procedures for each of the project and performs quality control reviews of work developed by others and creating a quality team.
• Hands-on experience and exposure to international standards and guidelines to manage various regional projects and guiding the teams.
• Work towards adding new skills, develop the new portfolio of projects, diversify the skills and resources to manage the teams' utilisation.
• Involve in the development of business with new regions, strengthen the relations and maintain the key stakeholders of regional leads and Project Managers.

We are looking for a highly self-motivated and ambitious professional who can draw upon their extensive experience to deliver technical excellence across a variety of transportation projects. The successful applicant must have an in-depth understanding of traffic engineering, transport planning, modelling, and road safety. In this key strategic senior role, you will bring:

• Master of Engineering (or equivalent education) in a Transportation Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university or a Bachelors in Civil Engineering with relevant experience in Transportation planning/modelling.
• Overall 8-13 years of work experience is preferred.
• Prior experience of working in Global Design consultancy and leading Transport Planning teams in a global design consultancy firm is preferred.
• Experience in working in International projects of UK&I, ME, USA, ANZ, and others.
• Hands-on experience of modelling softwares of strategic, operational modelling.
