Our projects at customer sites shall run for 4 -12 months. Site engineer has to stay at customer site location and shift from one customer location to another anywhere in India.

Project Engineer is head of site at customer location

This position will work to assist Head - Projects, to prepare comprehensive action plans, resources planning, timeframes, budgets, issues & risk of projects. Responsible to make sure projects are well-organized and runs smoothly.

This position needs to excel in a fast-paced and challenging work environment. There is always something that needs attention, more often many things, so the ideal candidate must be comfortable in a stressful atmosphere.

Engineer (Projects) responsibilities include:

  1. Prepare & coordinate project schedules, resources planning, equipment, material and information with Projects Engineers/In-charges.

  2. Organizing, attending and participating in internal stakeholder meetings, document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.

  3. Act as a SPOC for the specific project & maintain personal accountability, communicate assertively and constructively to Head - Project/Management.

  4. Define scope of assigned project & Prepare MTS of project by self-depending on the resource availability and time constraints.

  5. Estimate timeline of the project & monitor the progress, make sure the project deadlines are met, resolve any issues that arise to avoid fallouts like unsafe operations at site, project delays, poor quality.

  6. Monitor & ensure compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.

  7. On need basis, meet customers and resolve their technical and commercial queries of project assigned to you.

  8. Perform overall quality control of budget, schedule, plans, performance and report regularly on project status to Head-Projects.

  9. Oversee local procurement requirements and coordinate with Procurement team.

  10. Prepare & share- standard format to analyse man hours utilised, skill set used, project executive plan and expenditures.

  11. Monitor receipt of material, GRN process, and payment to vendors.

  12. Responsible for delivering of material with DC, invoice and follow-up on receipt of payment from customer.

Requirements

  1. An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans

  2. Decision making ability and leadership skills, including multitasking and time-management (Monitor/Mentor)

  3. Strong customer-facing and teamwork skills

  4. Familiarity with Risk Management and Quality assurance control

  5. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel/Project Management/PPT

  6. Knowledge on design and visualisations software such as AutoCAD

  7. Familiarity with statutory forms, rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.

Ready to travel across India and abroad at short notice and spend time on project sites

Experience: Minimum 2 years

§ Proven working experience as an Engineer Project Implementation

§ B Tech/B. E in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical
