Experience

Must have 3+ Years relevant experience in the field of Vmware ,Windows and NSX Administration.

Mandatory Skills/Knowledge

  1. Installation and Configuration: Deploy, install, configure, and upgrade VMware software and virtualization platforms based on client requirements.

a. Experience on VMware vRA, vROPS, and vRO

b. Experience in P2V, VMotion and VMware virtual center.

c. Experience in installing, configuring, troubleshooting ESXi

d. Upgrades of NSX-v environments

  1. Management Experience with planning, deployment, configuration and administrator of NSX-T Infrastructure

  2. Configure Distributed Firewall and Gateway Firewall to protect east-west and north-south traffic

  3. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to VMware infrastructure, including virtual machines, ESXi hosts, vCenter servers, and networking components.

  4. Should be able to handle critical Incidents and able to perform root cause analysis.

  5. Should have experience in handling User service request and Alert management.

  6. Experience in Deployment of NSX-T DataCenter Infrastructure

  7. Work experience in deployment of NSX Manager, NSX Edge nodes, NSX Edge Clusters on VMWare ESXi environments Configure and troubleshooting.

  8. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of VMware environments to ensure efficient resource utilization and high availability.

  9. Security: Implement security best practices to protect virtualized environments from threats and vulnerabilities.

  10. Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to clients, addressing their VMware-related concerns and inquiries.

  11. Experience in Microsoft Windows Server Administration DC, DNS, DHCP, DFS, WSUS, Group Policy Management etc.

  12. NSX-v operational familiarity and all concepts

  13. Deployment of NSX-v environments

  14. Knowledge of basic network concepts e.g., IP, TCP, DNS, switches, routers etc

  15. Concepts of load balancers and their function and features

  16. Capacity Planning: Assess and plan for future capacity requirements, recommending hardware and software upgrades as needed.

  17. Should have knowledge of ITIL Process.

Preferred Skills/Knowledge

  1. Good understanding of NSX-T DataCenter Logical Switching, Routing, Bridging, Security, Services, Monitoring and Federations.

  2. Good understanding of TCP/IP services and network security and working experience with firewalls Working experience of enterprise switching and routing.

  3. Prior experience in banking domain with exposure to compliance requirement for various standards like PCI - DSS.
