About the job :Overview :

  • The SAP BTP RAP Consultant plays a critical role in the implementation and optimization of the SAP Business Technology Platform with a special focus on the RAP (Rapid Application Programming) model.
  • This position is vital for organizations looking to leverage SAP's advanced technologies to streamline their processes and improve efficiency.
  • As a subject matter expert, the SAP BTP RAP Consultant collaborates closely with stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain applications that meet both business and technical requirements.
  • The consultant must understand the nuances of integrating custom solutions with existing SAP landscapes, ensuring data integrity, security, and performance.
  • By implementing best practices and innovative solutions within the SAP ecosystem, this role directly contributes to driving digital transformation and enhancing operational capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design and implement solutions using SAP BTP's RAP model.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and define requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for applications developed.
  • Develop custom applications and services with ABAP and other relevant technologies.
  • Implement data models and integration approaches in line with best practices.
  • Conduct performance tuning of existing applications to enhance user experience.
  • Provide technical support during the application life cycle.
  • Assist in the deployment and configuration of SAP BTP solutions.
  • Conduct workshops and training for end-users and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on SAP BTP enhancements and industry trends.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure coherent project execution.
  • Participate in problem-solving and resolution of production issues.
  • Develop and implement best practices for coding and application development.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and SAP governance standards.
  • Review and assess existing applications for modernization opportunities.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in SAP BTP development.
  • Proficient in the SAP RAP model and related technologies.
  • Strong experience in ABAP programming language.
  • Understanding of cloud-based development and integration patterns.
  • Experience with Fiori UI5 and SAP Gateway concepts.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and architecture in SAP.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery.
  • Experience in developing technical specifications and documentation.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in application development.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Certifications in SAP BTP or related areas are a plus )
