Role Description

ROLE OUTLINE:
Responsible for source code/ Firmware development based on project wise software requirements. Manual code generation and modelling based code generation as the case maybe.

SOFTWARE DEPLOYMENT AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

1.    Primarily responsible for development of software applications using C-Language and Modelling techniques

2.    Analyse software requirements and software functional specifications.

3.    Develop differentiated tasks by translating the software design into code in accordance with the coding standards and organizational quality requirements.

4.    Implement and document assigned part of components/ work product based on project schedule.

5.    Write code/test code for part of software component/ work product. Unit test the implemented solutions.

6.    Investigate and fix software defects found by test / review team to ensure product quality.

7.    Ensure quality of the developed part of component(s) / work product(s) (conformance with development process) and its technical delivery.

8.    Submit the work products into the software configuration management.

9.    Perform regular internal technical coordination / review to ensure risk identification and to support the initiation of risk mitigation by relevant project stakeholders.

10.  Lead and participate in technical and operations reviews, create and manage automated deployments to build and share reusable components.

11.  Coordinate work among programmers cooperating on source code during software development.

12.  Comply with version control software

13.  Maintain timely documentation of projects

14.  Ensure operational excellence as per defined SLAs.

Ethernet (TCP/IP, UDP)

CANDIDATE PROFILE & SKILL SET:

·      Must have degree or equivalent of a B.Tech or Masters in Computer Application.

· to 5 years of software development experience in embedded C.

·      Proven practical experience in railway domain in handling safety critical system.

·      Must have in-depth knowledge of developing high performance applications and software components using C & C++.

·      In depth understanding of MISRA standards

·      In depth knowledge of operating systems such as Linux and QT platforms

·      Exposure to code walk through, quality inspections

·      Excellent knowledge of coding practices
