Role Overview

We are looking for a
Localization Lead
who will drive the
vendor development and supplier localization initiatives
across our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying local suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, negotiating contracts, and ensuring quality, cost, and delivery standards align with Isler's production goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute
    localization strategies
    to replace imported components with locally sourced alternatives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard new
    local suppliers/vendors
    across mechanical, electrical, and packaging categories.
  • Manage
    end-to-end vendor lifecycle
    — from scouting to qualification, audit, price negotiation, and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate closely with
    R&D, Production, Quality, and Procurement
    teams for cost optimization and process standardization.
  • Maintain a
    Supplier Performance Tracker (QCD – Quality, Cost, Delivery)
    and implement regular audits for compliance and reliability.
  • Ensure adherence to
    ISO standards, EHS norms, and statutory vendor compliances.
  • Drive cost-reduction and localization projects
    to meet company's supply chain sustainability and margin goals.
  • Negotiate
    commercial terms, MOUs, and vendor contracts
    in collaboration with the Legal and Finance teams.
  • Build long-term strategic partnerships with key suppliers for technology, quality, and innovation support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering
    (MBA in Supply Chain or Operations preferred).
  • 5–8 years of experience
    in supplier/vendor development or localization in the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of
    procurement, costing, and negotiation
    principles.
  • Familiarity with
    ERP/HRMS tools (Odoo, SAP, Zoho, etc.)
    and supplier management systems.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Experience in
    kitchen appliances, home electronics, or auto components
    manufacturing will be an added advantage.
