To Ensure smooth operations of Secondary logistics in terms of
Product deliveries, Warehouse operations, Inventory Hygiene, TAT,
Vendor finalization, Infra upgradation , New CFA Opening,
Realignment of network , Cost benchmarking & optimization
Divisional Logistics head
Main accountabilities Requirements and skills
1 Strategy & deployment :-
A. Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practices – Logistics vision, Processes and procedures to aid and
improve operational performance
B. Identify cost saving avenues & deploy the same to save cost.
C. Industry benchmarking, Business/market intelligence, Overall Supply Chain Management (Secondary Distribution
perspective)
2. Vendor / Freight management: -
A. Identification of Potential transporters/ CFA vendors for achieving reduced freight and CFA expenses.
B To reduce/optimize Warehouse rental wherever high and upgradation of Infra within same rental.
C. Periodic check upon cost imperatives of other companies in assigned zone.
D. Ensuring submission of Vendor Bills, with complete accuracy, on time & helping timely disbursal of same.
3. Operations :-
A. Managing Supply Chain of goods from terminals to Depot and Depot to customer / Terminal to customer with assuring TAT &
dispatch efficiency.
B. Streamlining the system and procedures for effective inventory control for ensuring ready availability of material to meet the
sales requirement
C. To ensure Inventory Hygiene at Depot – Damage stock / Aged stock management etc.
D. Coordination with Planning team to get timely material from factories to terminal/ Depot as per the requirement
E Ensure replenishment of stock based on requirement
F. Ensuring timely Vendor/ Transporter payment by follow- up with Accounts/ Finance.
G. Ensuring SOP adherence at CFAs
H. Upgradation in CFA operations based on requirement of organization
I. Cross functional coordination with accounts and sales team specially
J. Conducting Audits at Depot & regular sanitation of perpetual inventory in system. Making CFAs ready for audit at all times.
K. Managing Inventory Replenishment at DCs & Terminals as per stipulated norms to ensure seamless sales execution.
L. Regular CFA Training on SOPs & processes.
Minimum Degree: MBA or equivalent degree in
Supply chain management
Minimum Years / Type of experience: 8-10 Years of
Experience in FMCG/ Paint/ Building material
industry
Travel:- 7-10 days in a month
Domain knowledge of Supply Chain Planning &
Operations.
Hands on exposure to SAP MM & SD Module
Good Communicator Internal & External,
Customer Focus
Strong interpersonal, Negotiation & Planning skills
