Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs.
  • Turn UI/UX designs and wireframes into responsive, high-performance online storefronts.
  • Integrate third-party apps, payment gateways, shipping methods, and analytics tools.
  • Optimize store performance, page speed, SEO, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Troubleshoot and debug theme issues, app integrations, and configurations.
  • Use version control (Git/GitHub) to manage code and collaborate effectively.
  • Ensure mobile responsiveness, accessibility, and adherence to e‑commerce best practices.
  • Stay updated on Shopify advancements—Shopify Plus, Hydrogen, Oxygen, headless commerce—and share learnings with the team.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 1–4 years of hands-on experience developing with Shopify (themes, customizations, or apps).
  • Strong coding skills in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience integrating with Shopify APIs (REST/GraphQL), webhooks, and third-party services.
  • Proficient in responsive design, mobile optimization, and page performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices in the Shopify environment.
  • Comfortable using Git for version control and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and effective verbal/written communication skills.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Shopify Plus, Hydrogen, Oxygen, or headless commerce architectures.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, ) or backend technologies , Ruby).
  • Knowledge of performance optimization strategies (CDN, caching) and accessibility compliance.
